2023-2024 EOFY - OnePath Customer FAQs

We will provide you with:

  • An Insurance Premium Summary if your policy has an Income Protection cover held outside super or the policy is owned by a Self-managed Super Fund and the total premium paid during the 2023-2024 financial is greater than zero;

or

  • A Contributions Tax Statement with Notice of intent to claim a tax deduction for personal super contributions form if:
    • You have an insurance policy held through super within the Retirement Portfolio Service (the Fund), for example OneCare Super; and
    • You have made personal contributions during the 2023-2024 financial year which are still held by the Trustee at 30 June 2024; and
    • Your policy is still in force at 30 June 2024.
and
  • An Annual Statement if:
    • You have an insurance policy held through super within the Retirement Portfolio Service (the Fund), for example OneCare Super; and
    • Your policy is still in force at 30 June 2024.

We will be sending the Insurance Premium Summaries from mid to late July 2024.

We will be mailing these forms with the Contributions Tax Statements from early July 2024.

We will be sending the Annual Statements from late July 2024.

The Insurance Premium Summary can be used to complete your 2023-2024 tax return. However, the information contained in this Summary does not constitute tax advice and we recommend you seek independent tax advice specific to your personal circumstances, from a registered accountant/tax agent.

You can login or register here to the customer portal, My OnePath Life, to access a copy of your 2023-2024 end of financial year document(s).

These document(s) will be available in the customer portal, My OnePath Life within a few days after we have sent the document to you.

You can login or register here to the customer portal, My OnePath Life, to obtain a copy of your 2023-2024 financial year document(s):

After logging in:

  • Navigate to the Insurance section, select your policy and look for Documents.
  • In the Documents drop down menu, select Correspondence to display the past 12 months of correspondence in relation to the selected policy number.
  • Select either:
    • ‘NOID – claiming Tax dedn for personal Super cont’; or
    • Insurance Premium Summary; or
    • Annual Statement.

You will only see the end of financial year documents that are relevant to you.

Remember a copy of your document(s) will be available in My OnePath Life within a few days after we have sent them to you.

While you are in My OnePath Life you can update your mailing address or any other contact details that might not be correct.

Please note that even if you have notified OnePath of your new mailing address, email address or changed your preference for how you like to receive correspondence regarding your policy, it is possible that we could send your end of financial year document(s) using your old details.

This can happen if you notify us of this change after we have commenced our end of year processing. Remember, you can log into the customer portal, My OnePath Life to get a copy of your document(s).

Yes, your financial adviser is able to access a copy of any of the documents we send you, by logging in or registering for the adviser portal that OnePath provides for them.

These documents will be available to your financial adviser in our adviser portal a few days after we have sent the document to you.

Any premium payment that we process after 30 June 2024 will be included in your 2024-2025 end of financial year document(s) and not the 2023-2024 end of financial year document(s).

If you need further information about your 2023-2024 end of financial year document(s) please:

  • Contact your financial adviser; or
  • Login to My OnePath Life to see information about your policy, access the self-service functions or take advantage of the many other features; or
  • Contact our Customer Care team on 133 667, weekdays 08:30am to 06:00pm (AEST).

  • If you are eligible to receive an Insurance Premium Summary and the total premium you paid in the period 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2024 is greater than zero, we will send you this Summary, even if your policy is no longer in force at 30 June 2024.
  • If you are eligible to receive a Contributions Tax Statement with Notice of intent to claim a tax deduction for personal super contributions form then your policy must be in force at 30 June 2024 for us to send this Statement and form to you.
  • If you are eligible to receive an Annual Statement your policy must be in force at 30 June 2024 for us to send this Statement to you.

You can return the form to us at any time before the earlier of:

  • The day you lodge your income tax return for the 2023-2024 year; or
  • 30 June 2024.

However, at the time you return the form:

  • You must still be a member of the Retirement Portfolio Service (the Fund). The trustee of the Fund will be unable to accept your request for a tax deduction if, when we receive your Notice of Intent claim form, you are no longer a member of the Fund; and
  • The contribution amount being claimed must still be held by the trustee at the time the notification is received at Zurich. Any pro-rata amounts rolled over to another fund cannot be claimed once it is no longer held by the trustee.

Yes. You can login to My OnePath Life to submit the new digital ‘Claim a Deduction’ form.

Login or Register for the Portal, and navigate to the Insurance Tab, and in the Insurance Actions box you will see a new button labelled ‘Claim a Deduction’.

Alternatively, you can navigate to your eligible policy on the Insurance Tab and click the ‘Actions’ button for that policy, where the ‘Notify intent to claim a deduction’ button is.
