EasyProtect 50+ Life Cover is designed to make things easier on your family when you pass away. It pays out a lump sum, which can be used to help cover funeral costs, credit card and utilities bills and other final expenses. Or for you to leave your beneficiary a small inheritance.

You can choose a premium payment option to match your specific needs.

What can EasyProtect 50+ Life Cover do for you?

EasyProtect 50+ Life Cover can pay out up to $15,000 within two working days of our receipt of completed claim requirements.

Premium Payment Options

You can choose between the Standard premium payment option and the Capped premium payment option.

  • Standard Premium Option - With the standard premium payment option, you pay a fixed premium until the policy anniversary after your 90th birthday. Then your cover continues premium free and you’re covered for life.
  • Capped Premium Option - With the Capped premium payment option, once the total premium you pay reaches your chosen Life Benefit amount, you stop paying premiums but your cover continues, meaning that your covered for life.

Who is EasyProtect 50+ Life Cover for?

EasyProtect 50+ Life Cover is suitable for anyone aged between 50 and 70 who is an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holds a Permanent Residency Visa, and is residing in Australia at the time of applying. But it’s particularly important if you have outstanding debts that you may leave behind.

Important Information

1. Based on a 55-year-old choosing a Life Benefit of $7,000 and selecting the Standard premium payment option with a monthly premium of $30.24; or a 55-year-old choosing a Life Benefit of $5,000 and selecting the Capped premium payment option with a monthly premium of $27.78.

2. The maximum Life Benefit available is $15,000. The Accidental Death Benefit will equal the Life Benefit you select. Please refer to the “What are the benefits and when can they be paid?” section of the EasyProtect 50+ Life Cover Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for details on when the Life Benefit and Accidental Death Benefit are payable.

3. The Life Benefit and Accidental Death Benefit are generally paid within two business days of OnePath Life receiving all completed claim requirements.

4. You can cancel your policy at any time. If you cancel your policy within 21 days of receiving the Policy Schedule and no claims have been made, we will refund any premiums paid.
